A Day in the Life of a Field Nurse (LPN)

As a Field Nurse, you provide essential hands‑on care to patients in their homes. Your responsibilities include:

  • Performing skilled nursing tasks such as injections and wound care
  • Preparing equipment and materials for patient visits
  • Teaching patients' self‑care techniques to support independence
  • Communicating with RNs and case managers to clarify instructions and provide updates
  • Assisting RNs or physicians with specialized procedures
  • Following infection control and universal precautions
  • Reporting suspected abuse per state and federal guidelines
  • Maintaining accurate clinical notes and driving records
  • Ensuring punctuality and reliability in daily scheduling
Qualifications
  • Active Oklahoma LPN license
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel long distances and adapt to schedule changes
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience in home health, critical care, or emergency care is a plus

Work Schedule

Full‑time, Monday‑Friday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Rotating weekends required.
