Red River Youth Academy is a residential treatment center located in Norman, Oklahoma, serving boys aged 8-17 and girls aged 12-17 with behavioral and emotional challenges. The facility provides individualized care through therapy, life skills training, and on‑site education in collaboration with Norman Public Schools. Staffed by licensed professionals from fields such as psychiatry, nursing, and counseling, the academy focuses on empowering young clients to build healthier futures.

Accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, the academy accepts Sooner Care, private pay, and most private insurance. Red River Youth Academy is dedicated to continuous improvement to help clients succeed.

Under the direction of the Medical Director, the ARNP will conduct psychiatric evaluations, history and physical assessments, and follow‑up care. This role ensures continuity of care from intake through discharge, supporting both the physical and psychological needs of our clients.

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and history/physical assessments for all patients.
• Provide follow‑up care and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate weekly with the Medical Director to review treatment plans and program integrity.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
• Work closely with therapists, physicians, and allied staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Comply with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and JCAHO regulations.

• Education:
  
  MSN/APRN, ARNP, NP‑BC, ACNP, FNP, ANP, or PA‑C licensed under the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing.
• Experience:
  
  Preferred experience with adolescent psychiatric care and at least one year in a residential or outpatient setting.
• Knowledge:
  Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, EMRs, patient confidentiality laws, and community resources.
• Skills:
  
  Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
