Job Title
Departmental Overview
Our team provides comprehensive care to women and children. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical, emotional, and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patient population. We have a 21 bed unit and enjoy specializing in pediatrics and women's health.
Job Summary
- Upon completion of an accredited nursing program and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, provides general nursing care and coordinates patient care through the life span for all patients.
- This position is a PRE-NCLEX role.
Qualifications
Education
- Provide documentation of completion of a program of registered nursing and eligibility to write the licensure examination in Oklahoma.
- The graduate may continue to be employed in a nurse resident role until licensed, provided that the first licensure examination is taken within 90 days after graduation and the examination is passed within 6 months of graduation, on either the first or second attempt.
- If the examination is failed after the second attempt, the nurse resident can no longer remain in the nurse resident position.
- Graduates of registered nursing program with concurrent LPN license will also be placed in the nurse resident role.
Experience
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure / Certification
- Active Oklahoma LPN license or active multistate LPN/LVN license, if applicable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current basic life support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
- Complete the 1 year Vizient nurse residency program.
Compensation / Benefits
- $17/hr
- Shift and weekend differentials.
