Location:

Norman, Oklahoma. The Children’s Recovery Center serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for young people ages 12 through 17.

The Children’s Recovery Center is looking for compassionate nurses to help teenagers recover from mental health and substance addiction difficulties. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, registered nurses conduct physical assessments, implement residents’ treatment plans, evaluate responses to treatment, provide complete documentation, perform physical restraint assessments, administer medications as prescribed, and provide health‑care education to residents and families.

The registered nurse supervises the daily duties of the Mental Health Techs and LPNs, ensuring that all residents are kept safe. Duties are performed in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, as well as the facility’s and ODMHSAS’s mission, values, policies, and professional standards.

Shift: Night Shift – 7:00pm to 7:00am (12‑hour shifts). Full‑time, non‑exempt.

Salary:

• Registered Nurse I – $70,000 ($33.65/hr)
• Registered Nurse II – $72,500 ($34.86/hr)
• Registered Nurse III – $76,500 ($36.78/hr)

Contracts available: $50 – $55 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse I – Associate in Nursing and a valid permanent Oklahoma RN license (Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact).
• Registered Nurse II – Bachelor’s in Nursing with a valid permanent Oklahoma RN license, or Associate in Nursing with one year of professional nursing experience, or Associate in Nursing with two years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.
• Registered Nurse III – Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with a valid permanent Oklahoma RN license and one year of professional nursing experience, or Associate Degree in Nursing with two years of professional nursing experience, or Associate Degree in Nursing with three years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.

Unrestricted Oklahoma RN licensure required. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Applicants will undergo urinalysis as part of pre‑employment testing for safety‑sensitive positions. Appointment to the position is contingent upon a negative test result.
