Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Maternal Child Flex Pool - Part Time - Nights - Up to $5K Sign On Bonus

Maternal Child Flex Nurse

The Maternal Child Flex department floats between patient populations to include:
Nursery/Newborn Transition Team, Women & Children's Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, & Mother Baby Team.

Performs RN essential functions to include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy.
  • Establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care.
  • Evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
  • Provides nursing services to multiple maternal/child departments by leading, directing and collaborating within the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Serves as department leader alongside and in absences of Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • One year nursing experience required.

(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).

SCHEDULE

  • Minimum 2 shifts per week to include;
  • a weekend shift every other weekend
  • one summer and one winter holiday.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
  • Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required within 90 days of hire and maintained.
  • PALS required within one year of hire and maintained.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Fetal monitoring.
  • Doppler monitor
  • Pulse oximetry monitoring and use of capnography.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS

  • Hourly rate depending on previous work experience.
  • Flex differential.
  • Shift and weekend differentials.
  • $5K Sign On Bonus to be paid out over one year.
