Ascension seeks a dedicated RN Clinical Lead for our Inpatient Post Surgical department, who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of skilled nursing professionals. This role is pivotal in maintaining our high standards of care and ensuring our patients receive personalized, compassionate service in their recovery journey. As part of Ascension, you will be at the forefront of using innovative technologies and methodologies in a supportive and faith‑based environment, ensuring the best health outcomes and enhancing the well‑being of our community.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of nurses and healthcare professionals in the post‑surgical unit.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure high standards of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient care for quality, adjusting strategies as needed to improve treatment effectiveness.
- Participate in the review and development of patient care plans, ensuring they are customized to patient needs and recovery goals.
- Manage departmental staffing and scheduling, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support to nursing staff.
- Ensure a patient‑first environment, fostering a culture of compassion and integrity.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in clinical management software and patient care systems.
- In‑depth knowledge of post‑surgical care processes and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Preferred:
Certification in Nursing Leadership or related field.
