Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Double Weekends 7 a to 11 p

As an LPN at Medical Park West Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Norman, OK, you will participate in and direct delivery of patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. You will help ensure that the highest quality services are delivered in a customer‑service‑friendly environment and that residents receive superior care.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
  • Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.
  • Receives, transcribes, and implements physician’s orders.
  • Implements and evaluates care plans.
  • Identifies and secures equipment supplies.
  • Directs and oversees subordinates.
  • Participates in duty assignments.
  • Organizes and coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
  • Oversees and monitors the function and activities of subordinate staff.
  • Evaluates staff performance and institutes appropriate action, discipline, or training.
  • Monitors infection control compliance.
  • Investigates and documents accidents/incidents.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Previous skilled nursing experience.
  • Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
