$27.84-$45.46/hr, depending on previous work experience. Department OverviewNorman Regional Health System Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 25‑bed Level III unit with a Neonatal Ground Transport Team. We focus on family‑centered care and provide a positive, compassionate attitude toward patients, families, and coworkers. The unit is staffed by five neonatologists and a dedicated team of neonatal nurses who uphold the organization’s values of Integrity, Communication, Attitude, Results, and Engagement (ICARE).
Job Summary- Assessment/reassessment – systematically evaluates the health‑care needs of individuals, considering specific age groups and patient conditions, and involves patient, family, and other health‑care providers.
- Nursing diagnosis and outcomes – analyses assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes involving patient and family input.
- Implementation and coordination of care – provides nursing care through interventions to achieve established goals and needs, guided by evidence‑based practice, regulations, and policy.
- Evaluation – evaluates patient outcomes using the critical‑thinking process and evidence‑based knowledge to recognize problems, assess facts, and reach sound conclusions.
- Discharge planning – evaluates discharge needs related to the plan of care and utilizes resources as necessary.
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Previous experience in the health‑care field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or retraining required during orientation before patient care; ongoing BLS maintenance required throughout employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
- New graduates must complete Norman Regional’s Nurse Residency Program.
