Registered Nurse (RN) - In-Patient Wound Care

Role Overview

A Registered Nurse consultant specializing in wound care, serving as part of the wound care team to assess, manage, and implement best practices for patients with pressure injuries, draining wounds, fistulas, and altered skin integrity. The role involves providing education to patients and staff, evaluating wound and ostomy products, and maintaining current knowledge in WOC nursing.

• Manage patients with complex wounds and skin conditions.
• Provide in-service education for nursing and medical staff.
• Serve as a resource for inpatient and outpatient ostomy patients.
• Educate patients undergoing ostomy procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend wound and ostomy products and practices.
• Maintain competence and data collection related to WOC nursing.
• Use effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

• Associate’s Degree required;
  Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum of two years RN experience, including wound, ostomy, and continence care.
• Current Oklahoma RN licensure.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) & Ostomy Management Specialist Certification (OMS) preferred or completed within 12 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with ongoing renewal.
