Description & Job Purpose
- Schedules, coordinates, executes, and serves as the liaison for external projects to generate polyclonal antibody serum inventory
- Implements effective immunization programs to maximize immune response
- Maintains professional & timely relationships with external vendors
- Conducts required immunoassay testing & processing on received materials to ensure quality standards are being met
- Manufactures sub-assembly items as required
- Organizes & maintains physical and virtual antibody inventories
- Ensures antibody quality, stability, and specificity are maintained through proper storage & handling
- Stays abreast of advancements in the fields of vaccine science, immunology, and antibody science through continuous learning
- Under the direction of the Biological Materials Production Manager, significantly contributes to scientific projects for improving the application of antibody materials in current and potential product lines
- Maintains accurate work records and assists with document revisions when necessary
- Effectively communicates with others, is approachable, has a positive and flexible attitude, displays a strong work ethic, time management skills, and demonstrates the ability and desire for professional development
- Complies with all company policies, procedures, internal and external quality standards, and regulatory standards
- Any other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related field
- Minimum of four years of experience working in a wet lab
- Proficiency in basic laboratory skills:
- pipetting, aseptic technique, buffer preparation, gel electrophoresis, titrations, immunoassays
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, organization, and communication
- Excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making skills
- Advanced degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, or a related field
- Experience in polyclonal antibody production, immunogen preparation, or protein characterization
- Experience in project management
- Proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques & dry lab skills
- BLS-2 Experience
