About Us

At Catfish Cove, we pride ourselves on serving up top-tier seafood in a fast-paced, welcoming environment. From our classic fried fish and snow crab legs to our popular weekend seafood boils, we are dedicated to delivering an excellent dining experience. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Kitchen Manager or Lead Line Cook with management experience to oversee our back-of-house operations and lead our culinary team.

The Role

As a key leader in the kitchen, you will be responsible for ensuring that every dish meets our quality standards while maintaining a clean, efficient, and positive work environment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in high-volume seafood preparation, excels under pressure, and knows how to motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Direct, train, and manage back-of-house staff during high-volume services, including busy weekend shifts and special promotional buffets.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all menu items—especially our signature seafood boils, fried fish, and crab specials—are prepared consistently and to the highest standards.

  • Operations & Efficiency: Oversee daily kitchen operations, manage ticket times, and ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.

  • Inventory & Prep: Assist with ordering, manage inventory levels, reduce waste, and oversee daily prep sheets.

  • Health & Safety: Maintain strict compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of kitchen experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory, lead line cook, or kitchen management role.

  • Culinary

    Skills:

    Prior experience in a high-volume seafood restaurant is highly preferred.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, train, and communicate effectively with a diverse kitchen crew.

  • Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and the physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
