Job Overview

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They act as brand ambassadors, building energy and excitement around our products and services. They thrive in a fast‑paced environment, constantly adapting to new technology and customer needs. This role is a learning role; new associates receive training and are expected to build skills for progression to Mobile Expert.

Job Responsibilities
  • Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers, providing a world‑class customer experience and building loyalty by:
    • Helping customers resume their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care or in‑store.
    • Exploring individual needs and providing hands‑on demonstrations of the latest technology in store.
    • Using side‑by‑side selling to find personalized solutions beyond basic device and service plans, including accessories and cutting‑edge IoT devices.
    • Approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity and compassion.
  • Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to actively demonstrate:
    • Our ever‑expanding coverage and how it provides lightning‑fast LTE in customers’ neighborhoods.
    • Why T‑Mobile plans and services allow customers to live unlimited, feel the love, stay connected and go further.
    • Complete training on the in‑store experience, new skills and processes, knowledge of systems and reference resources.
    • Make the most of their shift time, consistently seeking information between customers and learning about innovations in wireless and technology.
  • Establish relationships with and partner with T‑Mobile employees across channels, including business and customer service, to:
    • Collectively own the customer experience and resolve issues, creating a seamless, run‑around‑free environment.
    • Successfully identify and handoff small‑business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and create an inclusive environment.
Education
  • High School Diploma / GED (Required)
Work Experience
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred. (Required)

Skills and Abilities
  • Passionate customer advocate who is authentic and enjoys connecting with others. (Required)
  • Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment. (Required)
  • Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas, while serving customers and providing resolutions to issues. (Required)

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Base Pay: $18.00, plus $5.00 per hour training pay.
Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive on‑the‑job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. Upon completion, Mobile Associates promote to the Mobile Expert role and become eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000 per year. All employees are guaranteed to earn $20 per hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. Eligible employees may also receive an annual stock grant.
