Position: PEAK - Student Move-In Help

Pay Range: Targeted Salary of $12.00 per hour.

Benefits Eligible: No

Work Schedule: 8/6, 8/7, 8/17 & 8/18.

7:00am – 6:00pm

Position Introduction: Temporary Position – Fall Semester Student Move-In
Are you looking for a short-term job with straightforward duties and flexible summer attire? We are hiring Parking Attendants to assist with student move-in activities on the University of Oklahoma campus.

Work Dates:

  • August 6
  • August 7
  • August 17
  • August 18

Shift

Hours:

  • 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Duties This position primarily involves directing slow-moving vehicle traffic during new student move-in days. Vehicles will be carrying incoming OU students and their families, and attendants will help guide them to the appropriate lanes and destinations.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Directing traffic and providing basic instructions to drivers
  • Assisting families and students with navigating move-in routes
  • Setting up or moving traffic cones and barricades as needed
  • Supporting event staff to ensure smooth traffic flow

No previous experience is required. This is a simple, entry-level position with clear instructions and supervision provided.

A free boxed lunch will be provided.

Lunch will be taken as a working lunch while remaining on duty.

Weather Conditions

Please be aware that this job requires working outdoors for most of the day, often in hot summer conditions.

Employees should bring:

  • Sunscreen
  • Portable fan (if desired)
  • Comfortable summer clothing
  • Any other items that help manage heat exposure

Water will be provided throughout the day.

Dress Code

  • T-shirts
  • Shorts
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Clothing must be clean and appropriate (no torn or offensive apparel).
  • An orange safety vest will be provided and must be worn while working.
