Responsibilities
- Deliver education on disease state, patient identification, NF1 PN management, and Rare Disease product information to health care professionals (HCPs)
- Achieve sales targets and develop relationships across the entire patient journey within aligned institutions and surrounding hospital service areas
- Develop and implement clinical sales presentations for groups of healthcare personnel
- Maximize key physician contact by networking within accounts and at medical meetings
- Create and maintain strategically targeted account-specific business plans that reflect an in-depth understanding of local market forces impacting product sales
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders including TLLs, SALs, MSLs, FRMs, Market Access, Diagnostics, and other Enterprise partners
- Handle customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology
- Educate on the clinical approach to disease state, leading to a successful and accurate diagnosis
- Lead the implementation of a patient‑centric partnership model that includes physicians, their staff, patients, clinics, and hospitals
- Seek out and qualify leads and profile new accounts
- Track activities and submit accurate, on‑time sales activity reports
- Proactively interact with Alexion management to refine product and market initiatives
- Effectively and efficiently manage time, priorities, CRM tools, resources, and workload
- Perform work in alignment with Alexion’s Code of Ethics, Business Conduct, policies, and procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 6 years of Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical sales experience, including 3 years calling on institutions and hospital systems
- At least 2 years of documented, successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales in Oncology/Rare Disease or relevant experience
- Ability to manage the complexity of a systems approach and to develop multidisciplinary teams in institutions
- Strong institutional navigation and stakeholder influence mapping capabilities
- Ability to engage diverse specialties and disciplines
- Proven, documented track record for delivering consistent, top‑tier sales results in institutions and hospital systems
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team‑oriented environment on a consistent basis
- Demonstrated success in seeking out and qualifying leads and profiling new accounts
- Ability to gain consistent access and develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in institutions, IDNs, and academic centers
- Effective administrator who efficiently manages time, CRM tools, resources, and workload
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
- Ability to travel regularly within the territory, including frequent overnight and weekend travel
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
