ITS Technician - (On-Site and In-Person Position

ITS Technician

Under general supervision, performs skilled duties to support the use of technology to accomplish the mission of the district.

Education:

H.S. diploma and technical training in computer and networking technology

Credentials:

Required:

Must be able to obtain CompTIA A+ Certification within the first year of employment

Experience:

Minimum of two years' experience providing computer hardware and software support in a networked environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administration, installation, and maintenance of electronic access controls and cameras, to include proximity card and swipe card hardware
• Proven experience with the maintenance of fire and intrusion systems, to include electronic key management
• Ability to coordinate with other departments to ensure proper integration, cross-system functionality, and required safety drills
• Experience installing network and low-voltage cabling
• Active or dormant Commercial Access Control, CCTV, and/or Fire Alarm License preferred
