Overview

The Training Specialist II is responsible for developing and delivering high-quality training, technical assistance, and workforce development support to strengthen recovery-oriented services across the behavioral health continuum. This position supports workforce competency through curriculum development, facilitation of training programs, certification management, fidelity monitoring, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent promotes evidence-based and recovery-oriented practices while ensuring compliance with ODMHSAS standards and applicable policies.

Compensation: $51,250.00/yr ($24.64/hr)

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate training for Case Management, Peer Recovery Support, and additional continuing education offerings.
  • Coordinate and manage certification and recertification processes for designated training and workforce programs.
  • Develop and maintain training curriculum, educational materials, and workforce development resources related to behavioral health and recovery support services.
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance, coaching, and support to providers, agencies, and stakeholders implementing recovery-oriented services.
  • Maintain workforce certification databases, produce reports, and stay informed on relevant policies and evidence-based practices.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Family Peer, or Behavioral Health Case Manager.
  • Experience working as a peer or case manager.
  • Previous experience as a training facilitator.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in education or training;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience in education or training;
  • Or a master’s degree in adult education or human resource development.
Special Requirements
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and have a valid driver’s license.
