Level II - $49,400
- Annual benefit allowance up to $20,538.24 for employees and dependents.

Purpose
:
Operate power equipment and perform related tasks in the maintenance and repair of highways.
- Operate heavy machinery such as trucks, tractors, road graders, dozers, front‑end loaders, cranes, backhoes, paint machines, semi‑trailers, snow removal equipment.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Repair roadway shoulder or bridge deck failures.
- Repair and replace signs, posts, guardrails, fences.
- Provide traffic control assistance using stop/slow signs or flags.
- Apply herbicide to highway right‑of‑ways.
- Remove debris (tires, animal carcasses, spilled items).
Basic level operating under close supervision; performing unskilled and semi‑skilled tasks in construction, maintenance, repair of highways.
Education and ExperienceLevel I:
None.
Level II
:
One year experience in operating heavy equipment.
Safe operation and maintenance of power equipment; manual labor; ability to maintain and operate power equipment; follow instructions.
Special Requirements- Valid Oklahoma driver's license at time of employment.
- Commercial driver’s license class A or B possible requirement; CDL tank vehicle endorsement needed.
- CDL class A required within 5 months for ODOT/OTTA.
- Pass drug test prior to appointment.
- Ability to perform travel, work irregular hours, on‑call duty, possess telephone in residence.
- Physical demands: stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, sit, manipulate, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift 80–100 pounds; vision requirements.
- May be considered safety sensitive per 63 O.S. 427.8.
