Receiving Supervisor - 2nd Shift
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Receiving Supervisor to join our team in Norman, United States. In this supervisory role, you will oversee all receiving operations, manage warehouse staff, and ensure the accurate and efficient processing of incoming shipments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, operational expertise, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the receiving department and warehouse staff
Oversee the receipt, verification, and documentation of all incoming shipments and inventory
Ensure accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips
Manage receiving schedules, workflow, and resource allocation to meet operational targets
Maintain organized and accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Enforce compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
Train, mentor, and evaluate receiving team members to ensure consistent performance
Identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and quality assurance departments to resolve discrepancies
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on receiving operations
Conduct regular audits of receiving procedures and inventory accuracy
Address and resolve customer and vendor inquiries related to shipments and deliveries
3+ years of experience in warehouse, receiving, or logistics operations
2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software
Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze data and identify operational inefficiencies
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and warehouse compliance requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Physical ability to perform warehouse duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly
