The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing engaging programs and activities that enhance the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being of residents. This role creates meaningful experiences that promote connection, purpose, and quality of life while reflecting the community’s mission and values.
Schedule: Monday - Friday with availability on weekends and evenings at needed
Starting wage: $19hr+ based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a diverse calendar of life enrichment programs, events, and activities for residents
- Design programs that meet the interests, abilities, and needs of residents across all levels of care
- Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment
- Coordinate special events, celebrations, outings, and holiday programming
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, volunteers, families, and outside vendors to enhance programming
- Maintain accurate activity calendars, attendance records, and required documentation
- Support resident councils and encourage resident input in program planning
- Assist with onboarding and training of volunteers involved in life enrichment activities
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, community policies, and safety standards
- Manage program supplies and assist with budgeting and inventory as needed
- Provide one‑on‑one engagement for residents who may benefit from individualized activities
- Promote programs through flyers, newsletters, digital signage, and internal communication channels
Requirements
- Experience working with older adults, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Creative, energetic, and compassionate approach to resident engagement
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for special events
- Proficiency with basic computer programs and scheduling tools
