JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer & CAD Support Contractor
JOB TYPE: Contract
LOCATION: Norristown, PA – Hybrid; onsite Tuesday and Thursday
START DATE: August/September 2026
SHIFT: Monday–Friday, First Shift
We are seeking a Graphic Designer & CAD Support Contractor to maintain geospatial information, produce technical visuals, and provide CAD support for complex projects. This position combines database accuracy, mapping, design, and cross-functional technical coordination.
Responsibilities
- Maintain geospatial databases by adding new project information and revising existing asset, site, boundary, and facility records.
- Create and update maps, technical illustrations, presentation graphics, and other visual materials.
- Review geospatial information for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and proper system relationships.
- Build, modify, and manage spatial features within an enterprise ESRI geodatabase.
- Run queries through ArcGIS and Microsoft SQL Server, then convert results into useful maps and visual outputs.
- Support CAD-based design work using Autodesk and Bentley applications.
- Help maintain the availability and performance of mapping and design tools by coordinating technical issues with IT.
- Assist project leaders with defining scope, schedules, milestones, resource needs, and deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Graphic Design, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
- One to three years of experience supporting CAD projects or working with CAD, GIS, and visual-design applications.
- Practical experience using ESRI ArcGIS to create, revise, maintain, and query spatial information.
- Experience working with enterprise ESRI geodatabases and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk and/or Bentley CAD applications.
- Experience creating technical maps, data-driven visuals, and professional graphic materials.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience maintaining technical databases, validating information, and following established compliance requirements.
