Lead, Software Engineer

In this role, reporting to the Director, Master Data Products, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying highly scalable, high-performance data integration and transformation solutions for Quest’s core Master Data Products (Patient, Client, Test, Facility, Eligibility, Preferences, Exclusions) within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem. You will lead a team of data engineers to design large-scale master data processing solutions and pipelines optimized for scaling.

This includes developing automated processes for acquiring, integrating, transforming, standardizing, and verifying master and reference data from transactional systems to ensure these key data assets are accurate, reliable, and readily consumable for enterprise reporting, AI/ML models, and advanced analytics.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or relevant degree)

Work Experience:

7+ years of data development and engineering experience.
2+ years of technical leadership experience managing data engineering teams.
3+ years of deep, hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
3+ years of experience in cloud-based data warehouses (strongly prefer Google Big Query; Snowflake is a plus).3+ years of experience with cloud-based ETL/ELT data integration tools and building scalable data pipelines.

Experience or strong familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, data quality, and handling complex master data domains (Patient, Client, Test, etc.).Preferred

Work Experience:

Experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry.

Exposure to version control systems (Git, SVN).Understanding of and willingness to embrace Agile Principles (Scrum).Knowledge:  Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and modern data programming languages (Python, Scala, Java).Strong understanding of master data architecture, data modeling, and data lifecycle management in a cloud environment.
