ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assesses equipment, materials and labor needed to complete large and/or complex maintenance tasks for the purpose of ensuring that maintenance activities meet district standards.
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
- Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using handtools and power tools
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
- Coordinates the services and activities of outside, trade-related, contractors (through maintenance foreman) as assigned for the purpose of ensuring that contracted work is completed in a safe, effective and timely manner.
- Resolving complex and/or difficult maintenance issues (e.g. electrical distribution systems, emergency generators, fire/security alarms, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that District locations are maintained in a safe and effective working/learning environment.
- Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
- Completes electrical system related work orders to skilled maintenance staff for the purpose of ensuring that District locations are maintained in a safe working/learning environment and meeting District guidelines within the approved budget.
- Performs all assignments as directed by the supervisor.
- High School Diploma
- Journeyman Electrician License
- Minimum four years' experience in commercial/industrial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of budgets and ability to monitor budget processes.
- Strong organizational skills and strategic planning skills, pro-social collaboration, communication and planning skills, and technology skills.
- Ability to be flexible, self-directed, and motivated.
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with staff and students.
- Ability to do job responsibilities with minimal supervision and ability to schedule time to meet deadlines.
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.
9AM-5PM
PAY RATE:
$37.93 (Per EANA Contract)
