About the Position

Job Description
A community teaching hospital in  Massachusetts  is seeking a  Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician  to join their team. The physician will float between two hospital sites, providing high-quality emergency care. Morning and night shifts are the biggest need, with flexible scheduling options including  8, 11, and 12-hour shifts .

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emergency care for a  Level III Trauma Center

Manage emergency department patients;  codes are not the responsibility of the physician

Monitor and supervise paramedics/ambulance communications

Coordinate patient admissions with hospitalists

Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in the ED

Ensure timely response as required by hospital bylaws (typically 30 minutes)

Requirements
✅  Requirements

ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible  (within 5 years of residency)

Active Massachusetts license  preferred (local providers prioritized)

BLS, ACLS, ATLS certified  (required)

Clean background for quick credentialing ✔️

Must provide availability at the time of submission

Self-query NPDB within the last month

Local provider; no flights required ✈️
