Job Description:
The MCLA Office of Institutional Advancement is hiring Advancement Ambassadors for the academic year.
Some of the duties of Ambassadors include:
Assist with event preparation: put together signs, gift bags, nametags, print materials, etc.
Staff large alumni related events such as Homecoming Weekend and the Golden Graduates events during Commencement Weekend
Staff large student related events such as 100 Days to Graduation
Assist with publicity of events and large mailings
Conduct internet research and report findings
General office work: data entry, organizing, inventorying, coverage of front door and phone when needed
Requirements:
Requirements:
Interest in marketing, public relations work, development
Attention to detail
Reliable - ability to commit to scheduled hours but there is some flexibility
Able to take direction and carry out tasks independently
Works well in both a team environment and as an individual
A currently enrolled MCLA student
Preferred Requirements:
Interest in learning about the Alumni Association and MCLA Foundation
Not afraid to offer suggestions
Outgoing personality and sense of humor
Creative
Knowledge of the campus
Additional Information:
This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA and open to students who have been awarded federal work study.
