Locations: ABECC, Elementary Schools & North Andover Middle School (NAMS)
Hours:
Part-time, 3 hours/day (15 hours/week)
Compensation: $15.00/hour
This is a new position at the middle school. We are looking for eight (8) new employees in this role.
OverviewWe are seeking dependable, active, and community-minded individuals to join our school teams. As a Noon Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, positive, and organized environment for students during their mid-day break.
Depending on the school level, you will support students during their lunch, recess, or transition periods, while also assisting school staff with light administrative tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesFor ABECC & Elementary Schools (Grades PreK-5)
- Supervision:
Actively monitor students in the cafeteria and on the recess yard to ensure safety, fair play, and positive peer interactions. - Support:
Assist younger students with lunch packaging, line management, and navigating recess activities. - School Support:
Perform light front-office administrative tasks (such as sorting mail, copying, or organizing materials) during non-lunch/recess hours.
For North Andover Middle School (Grades 6-8)
- Supervision:
Monitor older students during lunch periods and designated outdoor/recreational breaks, promoting respectful behavior and a welcoming atmosphere. - Campus Transitions:
Help manage hallway traffic and student transitions to and from the cafeteria. - School Support:
Assist middle school main office staff with administrative duties and daily operational tasks when lunch shifts are not in session.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, patient attitude toward children and young adolescents.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly between indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to pass required background checks (CORI/Fingerprinting).
