Maintenance Technician

Interstate Waste Services seeks a Maintenance Technician Level B to maintain and repair our waste collection trucks and related equipment. In this on-site role, you'll perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems to keep our fleet safe and reliable. You'll work in a safety-focused, team-oriented shop, collaborating with drivers and operations to reduce downtime. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on waste collection trucks and related equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues using tools and diagnostic equipment
• Complete inspections and safety checks in accordance with company and regulatory standards
• Document all repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities in maintenance systems
• Collaborate with operations and drivers to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout, and environmental regulations in the shop and yard
• Assist with emergency repairs and on-road breakdown support as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area and tool inventory
