ROLESUMMARY
The Senior Tax Associate plays a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and client service within a fast-growing practice. This position prepares individual and business tax returns, supports managers and partners on engagements, and interacts directly with clients to gather information and resolve questions. The role offers diverse tax exposure, strong leadership support, and a clear pathway for professional growth within a collaborative, EOS-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare business tax returns including Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065
- Interact directly with clients to gather information and answer tax-related questions
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Track tax return status and follow up as needed
- Monitor and meet filing deadlines
- Respond to IRS and state tax agency notices
- Support managers and partners with tax engagements
- Report directly to the Tax Director
- 5 plus years of public accounting tax experience, including at least one year at the Senior level
- Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065
- Experience working with Individuals, S-Corps, Sole Proprietorships, and Partnerships
- Knowledge of tax compliance and tax code fundamentals
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel and Word
- Exceptional client service and communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Energetic, eager to learn, and growth-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated work style
- Candidates with majority Big Four experience are generally not preferred
