About the Position
Power Systems Study Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Group in Peachtree Corners, GA. You will support and lead electrical safety studies, including coordination and arc‑flash studies. You will work with a dynamic team of electrical engineers, interact with clients, support proposal development, and contribute to project success. The role offers mentorship opportunities and the chance to manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
Experienceand Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
- 3+ years of experience in Electrical Design or Electrical Study performance, including short circuit calculations, coordination studies, and arc‑flash studies
- Proficiency in Power Systems Modeling software, including SKM Powertools (preferred), Easy Power, or ETAP
- EIT certification preferred or plans to obtain, with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing a plus
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, NFPA 70, ANSI C37, and relevant IEC standards
- Experience preparing time‑current curves (TCCs), performing load flow analysis, voltage drop calculations, and evaluating overcurrent protective devices (OCPDs)
- Experience performing site visits to gather system data
- Familiarity with Whole Building Design Guide is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Bluebeam (or Adobe Acrobat)
- Ability to work well in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and produce high‑quality work
- Desire to learn and grow professionally in a collaborative environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for project support
