Metal Fabrication Sales Estimator

Prepare cost estimates based on job requirements and product knowledge in the role of Metal Fabrication Sales Estimator for Metfab Engineering, Inc..

• Analyze project requirements:
  
  Review drawings, specifications, and customer requests to understand scope and complexity

• Prepare cost estimates:
  
  Calculate material, labor, machine time, and subcontracting costs for custom parts and assemblies.
• Develop quotes:
  
  Create detailed proposals and pricing for customers, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
• Vendor coordination:
  
  Obtain pricing from suppliers for raw materials, tooling, and outsourced processes.
• Maintain cost database:
  
  Update and manage historical cost data for materials, labor rates, and machine operations.
• Collaborate with teams:
  
  Work with engineering and production to validate feasibility and lead times.
• Other duties may be assigned

Balancing; must have fine motor skills; some light lifting; the ability to do a repetitive motion; and the ability to sit for most of the day

Must be able to visually read documents and a computer screen

Must be able to hear and speak on the phone and in person to convey information
