Position Summary...

Responsibilities
  • Directs and guides members of management and hourly associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques by modeling excellent customer service, teaching ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within company guidelines and standards, and building relationships to provide feedback and answer questions.
  • Drives and ensures the facility's financial performance by confirming budgeted sales, wages, and other expenses are achieved; assists the store manager in leading the management team to control expenses and align them to sales; creates and implements plans to improve financial performance; creates budgets aligned with business needs and analyzes economic trends and community needs for forecasting.
  • Participates in community outreach programs and encourages associates to serve as active members of the community by establishing relationships with key individuals or groups, acting as the company’s representative, presenting the company’s perspective to external organizations, following media guidelines, and promoting sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts.
  • Directs facility operations by setting service level standards, teaching and developing effective product presentation, ensuring accurate pricing, proper signage, maintaining in‑stock and inventory levels, requesting merchandise to meet community needs, and guiding execution of Company programs and strategic initiatives, while ensuring quality assurance and safety reviews.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, delegating objectives, and developing qualified talent to meet staffing needs and growth potential.
  • Drives execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating plans and priorities, removing barriers, providing resources, defining performance standards, measuring progress, adjusting performance, and developing contingency plans to support continuous learning.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities by selecting and training, mentoring, assigning duties, building a team‑based environment, establishing performance expectations, conducting evaluations, providing recognition and rewards, coaching for success, and promoting a sense of belonging.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethics by training others and ensuring compliance, while supporting the Open Door Policy and engaging stakeholders to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Fosters a respectful workplace: builds high‑performing teams, embraces diverse people and ideas, creates a culture where associates feel seen and connected, and promotes a sense of belonging, collaboration, and trust.
