About the Role

Ashworth Awards is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our internal production operations and production team. This role is responsible for daily production planning and execution, team leadership, quality, safety, equipment, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

The Production Manager will lead production supervisors/team leads and manufacturing personnel while working closely with Sales, Business Operations, Design, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to ensure production goals and customer expectations are consistently met.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold production supervisors and employees accountable for performance, quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Oversee daily production schedules, staffing, workflow, priorities, and resource allocation to meet customer commitments and deadlines.
  • Develop and improve production processes, workflows, SOPs, and operational systems to increase efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Monitor production KPIs and use data to identify issues, improve performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, quality issues, equipment problems, material shortages, and workflow challenges.
  • Manage production equipment, preventative maintenance, facility resources, and equipment repair or replacement needs.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards while investigating defects and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Receiving, Sales, Business Operations, and other teams to coordinate inventory, materials, production priorities, and customer needs.
  • Maintain appropriate production documentation, records, SOPs, and operational procedures while ensuring team ownership and compliance.
  • Support staffing needs including recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee development.
  • Contribute to operational planning, budgeting, strategic initiatives, and improvements that support company growth.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive production, manufacturing, or operations leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing production teams, supervisors, or team leads.
  • Experience with production scheduling, labor planning, quality, safety, inventory, and process improvement.
  • Experience in custom manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or made-to-order production preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems;
    Oracle Net Suite experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, or similar continuous improvement experience is a plus.
  • Laser cutting/engraving equipment experience is preferred but not required.
  • Adobe Illustrator familiarity is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
