Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor hallways, entrances, and common areas to ensure student safety and compliance with school rules.
  • Build rapport with students to encourage positive behavior and provide support when needed.
  • Assist in de‑escaltating conflicts or addressing safety concerns in a calm, professional manner.
  • Work closely with school staff to ensure a safe and orderly school environment.
  • Support school arrival and dismissal procedures, ensuring the safety of students during high-traffic times.
  • Report any safety or security concerns to school administration promptly.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience working with students or in a security‑related field is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students and staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • A commitment to creating a positive, respectful, and safe school environment.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and supervise various areas of the school throughout the day.
  • Meets Highly Qualified standards as defined by the Every Student Succeeds Act:
    Associate’s Degree preferred, or High School diploma or general education degree with 60 hours college credit from an accredited college, or passing score on the Para Pro exam. Experience working with children.
