This role is for a registered nurse specializing in surgical services, responsible for leading and coordinating all activities within the Operating Room.
Key duties include managing patient flow, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, supporting quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, and fostering collaboration among staff, physicians, and other departments.
The nurse acts as a resource for staff education, maintains professional licensure, and participates in training and performance evaluations.
Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of OR nursing experience, an associate's or bachelor’s degree in nursing, and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and RN licensure (multi-state or single-state).
Essential skills encompass excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities, knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, proficiency with computer systems, and the capacity to work effectively under stress and in emergency situations.
Additional responsibilities involve resource management, equipment procurement, and promoting a safe, ethical, and patient-centered environment.
