The role emphasizes coordinating patient flow, leading ED staff, and ensuring patient safety and throughput in a fast-paced environment.
Required education includes an Associate's degree in nursing; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. BLS, ACLS, and RN licensure are mandatory, with trauma nurse course preferred.
