Sales Engineer The Sales Engineer will interpret technical industrial-based specifications, along with application and commercial requirements. The role involves preparing new equipment quotations for customers in selected markets and interacting with both outside and inside sales personnel as well as the operation and engineering departments. The engineer will select, configure, and price highly technical engineered equipment, respond to business inquiries and technical clarifications, and provide remote field support for aftermarket pump and equipment product lines.

Sales Engineer The Sales Engineer will interpret technical industrial-based specifications, along with application and commercial requirements. The role involves preparing new equipment quotations for customers in selected markets and interacting with both outside and inside sales personnel as well as the operation and engineering departments. The engineer will select, configure, and price highly technical engineered equipment, respond to business inquiries and technical clarifications, and provide remote field support for aftermarket pump and equipment product lines.

• Prepare formal quotations that align with the company's pricing strategies and offer optimal engineered solutions.
• Act as a technical center of excellence for aftermarket pump and equipment product lines.
• Make recommendations to product engineering teams for product design improvements.
• Work cross-functionally between projects, pumps, and parts.
• Manage multiple projects through quotation and technical clarification cycles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in technical industrial sales/engineering.
• Ability to quickly learn about pumps, motors, mechanical seals, controls, and related accessories.
• Technical understanding of pump operation, performance, and application.
• Experience in interpreting specifications into a commercial offering.
• Knowledge of contract review and negotiation skills.
• Excellent technical writing skills.

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other departments.
• Ability to multi-task and make accurate decisions.
  
  Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read drawings and understand technical specifications.
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of ERP & CRM Software.

This is a Permanent position based out of North Aurora, IL.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
