Warehouse Maintenance Technician II

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Technician in North Aurora, IL.

Warehouse positions pay weekly.

• Hourly pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour (Based on experience)
• Schedule:
  
  First shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Equipment:
  Scissor lift, laptop. Requires 2 years of building maintenance and general HVAC and electrical repair experience.
• Must have a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle for local travel.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Experience operating forklift equipment required.
• Equipment certification may be required.

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or badge or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• Performs maintenance and troubleshooting functions on all warehousing equipment independently and effectively.
• Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable.
• Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems.
• Performs routine forklift repairs.
• Maintains batteries and related equipment.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs.
• Provides training, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, for operations associates if required.
• Additional duties as assigned; overtime as needed.
