Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Travel Warehouse Maintenance Technician in North Aurora, Illinois. This role provides weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.

Compensation & Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $32.00 per hour + (Based on Experience)
  • Schedule: First Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Equipment Requirements

Requires experience with conveyors and repairing dock doors, 5 years of building maintenance experience and general electrical and plumbing repair experience.

Must have a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle within the area.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting
  • Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
  • Good organizational, communication, and planning skills
  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
  • Experience operating forklift equipment required
  • Equipment certification may be required

Responsibilities
  • Performs maintenance and troubleshooting functions on all warehousing equipment independently and effectively
  • Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable
  • Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems
  • Performs routine forklift repairs
  • Maintains batteries and related equipment
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs
  • Provides training, including safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, to operations associates if required
  • Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed
