Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Travel Warehouse Maintenance Technician in North Aurora, Illinois. This role provides weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.
Compensation & Schedule- Hourly Pay: $32.00 per hour + (Based on Experience)
- Schedule: First Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Requires experience with conveyors and repairing dock doors, 5 years of building maintenance experience and general electrical and plumbing repair experience.
Must have a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle within the area.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting
- Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
- Good organizational, communication, and planning skills
- Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
- Experience operating forklift equipment required
- Equipment certification may be required
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Performs maintenance and troubleshooting functions on all warehousing equipment independently and effectively
- Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable
- Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems
- Performs routine forklift repairs
- Maintains batteries and related equipment
- Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs
- Provides training, including safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, to operations associates if required
- Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed
