Forklift Operator Warehouse

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Reach Truck Forklift Operator in North Aurora, Illinois.

• Hourly Pay: $19.00 per hour
• Shift Differential: $1.50 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 5:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. (overtime occasionally until 3:30 a.m.)

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours of production
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High‑school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• Valid Forklift Operator's License, certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctual with a good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Possesses a high degree of initiative
• Demonstrates high accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Familiar with health and safety methods
• Available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts

Warehouse forklift operators work in clean, organized, and well‑run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products handled include packaged foods.

Some positions may require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle record checks, a road test, and/or background/ badge requirements of the customer for whom you are assigned.
