North Babylon High School in the North Babylon Union Free School District is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic Permanent Substitute Teacher for the school year. This position where the successful candidate will report daily to the building and provide instructional support as needed across various subject areas and grade levels.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing coverage for classroom teachers during absences.
* Implementing lesson plans left by teachers or delivering prepared instructional materials.
* Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
* Assisting with supervision duties throughout the school day (hallways, cafeteria, arrival/dismissal, etc.).
* Being flexible and ready to work in a variety of classrooms and with different student needs.
Qualifications:
* Valid New York State Teaching Certification (any content area).
* Prior classroom experience preferred.
* Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt to different teaching environments quickly and effectively.
* A commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for all students.
