Anticipated start date:
March 2, 2026. Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m.
- 12:00 p.m. (includes one 15-minute paid break). Weekly working hours: 25. Wage for Para II: $25.17 - $29.27 per hour (2025-26 PSE Salary Schedule). Work Calendar: 2025-26 PSE SCHOOL DAYS EXT DAYCARE.
This position provides support to a variety of programs across the school, including the Extended Care program (4/5-year-olds), Daycare (12 months - 5 years), and PreK (4/5-year olds). Provides daycare, ensuring the safety and welfare of children 12-60 months of age. The daycare worker will assist parents by preparing meals for children, maintaining their hygiene, monitoring them for health, behavioral, and emotional concerns, providing them with age-appropriate instruction, and working with parents to ensure that children are learning and socializing in a positive way.
They may also assist with sterilizing toys and play areas and other duties to ensure that the children are in a safe, engaging, and clean environment. For complete details, please see the attached job description.
- At least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- In addition, a para educator must also meet one of the following:
- Have received a passing score on one of the assessments approved by the Para educator Board ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).); OR
- Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; OR
- Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; OR
- Have completed an apprenticeship as a para educator, in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
- A copy of a High School diploma or HS transcripts, or acceptable equivalent document.
- Official post secondary transcript(s).

This position is eligible for up to 13 paid holidays per year. The number of holidays depends on employee's start and end dates. - Paid Time Off:
Employees working 12 months per year earn 12 days of paid vacation per school year. Employees working 237 - 260 days per school year earn 12 days of sick leave. Up to 3 days of personal leave may be granted each school year. Vacation, sick leave, and personal leave are based on scheduled hours and position start date. - Snoqualmie Valley School District benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB).

Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work 630 hours or more in a year is eligible for benefits.
