Starting Wage: $30.00 per hour Salary Range:
This position is represented by a union and is eligible for annual step increases. The current salary schedule reaches its maximum rate after eight years, with a current maximum of $41.06 per hour. FLSA Status:

North Bend, Washington Position Summary The Mental Health Therapist provides clinical counseling services to children, youth, and families. This position delivers comprehensive clinical care through mental health assessments, short- and long-term therapy, case management, care coordination, and crisis intervention. As a key member of the Behavioral Health team, the Mental Health Therapist plays an important role in supporting clients, families, and the broader community through culturally responsive and evidence-based services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Services Provide evidence-based and culturally responsive therapeutic interventions and services to youth and their families. Administer mental health assessments and provide individual, family, and group counseling. Maintain knowledge of crisis intervention best practices and provide crisis support to clients as needed. Diagnose mental health conditions in accordance with the most recently published edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Provide case consultation, referrals, advocacy, care coordination, and linkage to services for assigned clients. Maintain direct service hours equal to approximately 60% of total weekly work hours. Administrative Responsibilities Attend weekly or biweekly individual supervision meetings with the Clinical Supervisor to review cases. Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and division meetings. Maintain knowledge of Friends of Youth programs, divisions, and internal resources.

Stay informed about current best practices for various diagnoses and mental health concerns through continued research and professional development. Maintain complete, accurate, and timely case records in accordance with applicable WAC, COA, Medicaid, and King County requirements. Become familiar with agency and community resources to appropriately refer children, youth, and families. Other Duties The Mental Health Therapist may perform other duties as assigned.

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice. Job Requirements Education and Experience Master's degree in a human services field. Current Washington State licensure or associate licensure as an LICSW, LSWAIC, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, or LMFTA.

At least one year of relevant experience working with children, youth, and/or families. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform. Additional Requirements Must satisfactorily pass a criminal history background check. Must satisfactorily pass a tuberculosis screening. Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State driver's license, or be able to obtain one by the date of employment.

Employees and volunteers who operate a personal or Friends of Youth vehicle for agency business must maintain a safe driving record, as defined by Friends of Youth. Employees and volunteers who use a personal vehicle for Friends of Youth business must maintain auto liability insurance that meets Friends of Youth requirements. Must successfully complete CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certification requirements within 30 days of employment.
