• Collect comprehensive data relevant to patient health.
• Perform age‑ and disease‑specific assessments in a systematic manner.
• Recognize clinical changes and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Identify education needs for patients and families and provide tailored instruction.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Communicate progress and changes in patient status to the health‑care team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and evaluations in the electronic record.
• Administer medications using the latest bar‑scanning technologies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discharge processes to ensure safe transitions.
• Evaluate progress toward outcomes and initiate interventions for changes in condition.
• Address ethical issues and opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Maintain required competencies, certifications, and continuing education.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code and HMH’s organizational standards.
• Lift a minimum of 35 lbs., push or pull a minimum of 10 lbs., and stand a minimum of 6 hours per day.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

• BSN in progress or willing to obtain within three (3) years of hire (for hires on or after November 2019).
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience, or active participation in HMH’s Nurse Residency Program.
• Strong learning agility, accountability, teamwork, commitment to ongoing education, and a passion for delivering high‑quality patient care.

• National certification in the area of specialty (when eligible).

• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) Certification within 60 days of entering the position.

Minimum rate of $45.20 per hour. Pay ranges are determined by market data, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Shift differentials may apply for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Compensation may also include performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
