About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team for a variety of complex patients.

• Location: North Bergen, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar‑scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.

Experience: Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

Licenses &

Certifications:

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License; AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
