About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to teamwork and continuous improvement in patient care.

• Location: North Bergen, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient s health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.

• Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

  NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
