Registered Nurse - PMC - Three East Progressive Care Unit - Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Three East Progressive Care Unit provides direct patient care and coordinates activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services. This role is ideal for those looking to expand their knowledge and skills while delivering effective care to complex patients.

• Pay: $45/hour
• Location: North Bergen, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Part-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients/families and healthcare team members.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.

Education:

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.

Experience:

• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position.
