Senior Electrical​/Mechanical Engineer

Overview

cy Daptiv Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering expertise, technical leadership, and support for engineering products and solutions. The successful candidate will represent cy Daptiv Solutions in matters related to electrical and/or mechanical engineering and provide technical oversight within the project’s functional area.

This position is contingent upon cy Daptiv Solutions being awarded the applicable contract. Employment for this role will be dependent upon contract award and Government approval, as applicable.

• Provide senior-level electrical and/or mechanical engineering expertise in support of contract requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and recommend engineering products, designs, solutions, and technical approaches.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for engineering activities within the project’s functional area.
• Review engineering plans, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify technical risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions or engineering solutions.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project leadership, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other technical personnel.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable codes, standards, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and technical personnel.
• Participate in technical reviews, project meetings, design discussions, and customer presentations.
• Support project planning, scheduling, implementation, testing, and acceptance activities as required.
• Represent cy Daptiv Solutions professionally when interacting with Government customers and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain appropriate engineering documentation and technical records throughout the project lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the electrical and/or mechanical engineering field.
• Relevant experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated experience within the functional area of the project to be managed.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong knowledge of applicable engineering principles, standards, codes, and industry practices.
• Demonstrated ability to review and evaluate complex technical designs and engineering documentation.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Government customers.
