We are currently on the lookout for a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Engineer to join our skilled team, working entirely onsite in Bethesda, Maryland.

The perfect candidate will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft-based solutions tailored to our clients  needs. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft technologies and the ability to work closely with our customers to address their changing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Server environments, including Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365.
• Work in collaboration with software development teams to ensure adherence to best practices for cloud deployments and infrastructure management.
• Conduct system health checks and enhance system performance and uptime.
• Provide technical support and solutions for intricate issues connected to Microsoft technologies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and procedures.
• Implement Microsoft security policies to protect data and systems.
• Support in planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and installations.

• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange.
• Knowledgeable in network configuration, including port and VLAN configuration.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud services like Azure or Office 365.
• Holding a DoD IAT Level III certification (such as CISSP, CCNP, CISA, CASP+) is a must.
• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Administrator, or similar qualifications.
• Familiarity with ACAS scans and strategies for mitigation.
• Proven experience in scripting and automation with Power Shell or comparable languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Capable of collaborating effectively within a team while communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Security Clearance: Active Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
• Familiarity with Dev Ops methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of network design and security frameworks.

Salary at RMC is determined by location, the candidate s education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000.
