Deputy City Clerk
The City Clerk’s Office is seeking a Deputy City Clerk to support City Council meetings and public hearings by preparing agendas, recording proceedings, and ensuring follow‑up on Council actions. In this role, you’ll help maintain accuracy and compliance by reviewing and processing key city documents, legal notices, resolutions, ordinances, meeting minutes, technical records, and the Municipal Code.
Responsibilities- Support City Council meetings and public hearings by preparing agendas, recording and transcribing proceedings, and ensuring timely follow‑up on action items.
- Review and process official records, including ordinances, resolutions, minutes, legal notices, and agreements to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.
- Certify official documents and administer oaths or acknowledgments in the absence of the City Clerk.
- Assist with budget development, monitoring, and expenditure oversight for the City Clerk’s Office.
- Learn and adapt to new tools and systems with ease to support work efficiency.
- Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally across a variety of settings.
- Quickly identify challenges and apply logical, evidence‑based approaches to resolve them.
- Contribute to a workplace culture where everyone feels welcomed and included.
