About the Role
The City Clerk’s Office is seeking a Deputy City Clerk to support City Council meetings and public hearings by preparing agendas, recording proceedings, and ensuring follow‑up on Council actions. The role also includes reviewing and processing key city documents, legal notices, resolutions, ordinances, and meeting minutes, along with technical records and the Municipal Code.
What will you do in this position?- Support City Council meetings and public hearings by preparing agendas, recording and transcribing proceedings, and ensuring timely follow‑up on action items.
- Review and process official records, including ordinances, resolutions, minutes, legal notices, and agreements, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
- Certify official documents and administer oaths or acknowledgments in the absence of the City Clerk.
- Assist with budget development, monitoring, and expenditure oversight for the City Clerk’s Office.
- Learn and adapt new tools and systems with ease to support work efficiency.
- Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally across a variety of settings.
- Quickly identify challenges and apply logical, evidence‑based approaches to resolve them.
- Contribute to a workplace culture where everyone feels welcomed and included.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships across departments and disciplines.
- Identify creative solutions to challenges and implement improvements.
The first round of applications will be reviewed on Friday, June 12, 2026. The default schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role will be onsite for the first six months, with a potential transition to a hybrid schedule thereafter.
