Join the Bothell Police Department as a Police Administrative Specialist and play a vital role in supporting department operations through budget coordination, payroll administration, equipment management, law enforcement database administration, and oversight of specialized programs and projects.

Recruitment Information
  • Schedule: Option to be on a 5/8 with flexible start times.
  • Working Conditions: This position will work in office with intermittent ability to work remotely as needed.
Background Check Requirements

Job offers for this position are extended contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive law enforcement background investigation, including a full Personal History Statement (PHS), a polygraph examination, and a psychological evaluation. The investigation may involve interviews, a review of online and social media presence, and verification of personal and professional records.

  • WACIC/NCIC/III criminal history checks
  • Fingerprinting
  • Driving record and Department of Licensing checks
  • Military records (if applicable)
  • Financial history
  • Verification of education and prior employment
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and organizational support for long‑term projects and specialized assignments within Bothell Police Department operations.
  • Monitor and reconcile project, program, and departmental budgets and expenditures.
  • Administer multiple law enforcement databases, including activation, maintenance, and de‑activation of accounts for department personnel.
  • Maintain attendance, overtime, and leave records, and prepare semi‑monthly payroll reports for division personnel.
  • Coordinate uniform and equipment procurement, inventory, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Oversee the biannual issuance and collection of Bothell Police Department Rotational and Evidentiary Tow Company agreements.
  • Serve as the liaison and point of contact for the VA GI Bill On‑the‑Job Training Program, confidential vehicle license plate registrations and renewals, and the Bothell Police Department Ride‑Along Program.
